Conservation
tillage with the Cotton Shredder-Bedder restricts all wheel
traffic to the furrow. This machine digs, extracts, crushes and
shreds the entire plant and root system leaving the beds in an aerated
condition. It's ideal for wide-bed or double-row tillage
systems.

With
the optional re-bedding attachment, it can reshape the old beds in the
same pass for either wide-bed or double-row. Mulching of the entire
plant increases the organic matter available to the next crop.
Ruggedly built and simple in design, the Cotton Shredder-Bedder
has few moving parts. Two and four-row models are available.

This
return to less tillage creates a more sustainable
environment in the soil where compaction is eliminated in the growing
area, allowing for better water penetration. Growers are able to
enter fields earlier to plant their next crop.

The
Cotton Shredder-Bedder passes all plowdown regulations for
cotton pests including pink bollworm. The latest research shows that
cultural practices are effective in reducing pathogens such as root-knot
nematode in cotton and vegetable crops. The root systems of cotton
plants should be uprooted and shredded, exposing them to sunlight and air
for better field sanitation. This helps reduce the populations of
nematodes by destroying their habitat. Many pests and destructive
organisms cannot survive after a thorough destruction of the plant and
root system.
